Pediatric psychorheumatology. Part I. Mental health disorders in children with joint hypermobility and juvenile idiopathic arthritis

Abstract
The high comorbidity of mental health disorders and rheumatic diseases in adult patients is well known, whereas in pediatric rheumatology, mental health issues have received insufficient attention until recent years. Currently, pediatric psychorheumatology is developing so rapidly all over the world that the only Russian-language review article on mental health disorders in children with various rheumatic diseases, published two years ago, can already be considered outdated, since a large number of high-quality original studies of mental health disorders in children with rheumatic diseases have appeared. The purpose of this lecture is to try to fill the existing gap in the Russian scientific literature by high lighting the results of original research in the field of pediatric psychorheumatology published over the previous 5 years. The first part of the lecture will address issues of mental health disorders in children with joint hypermobility and juvenile idiopathic arthritis. The second part of the article will be devoted to systemic immuno-inflammatory rheumatic diseases, namely systemic lupus erythematosus with juvenile onset, Sjogren's disease with juvenile onset, juvenile dermatomyositis and juvenile scleroderma. The third part of the article will address issues of mental health disorders in children with auto-inflammatory diseases, Kawasaki disease and multisystem inflammatory syndrome associated with coronavirus disease 2019, as well as mental health disorders in children with various rheumatic diseases during the pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019.
